Here we go again

Ok, since I have had countless numbers of people ask me ever so nicely to update my blog, and since I do not want to work on my paper that I need to get started on, I thought I would take the time to do so. The last posting was in December sometime so this could be a long one. Well Christmas was a good time to spend with family and friends. Have you ever eaten so much and gotten so full that all of your favorite foods make ya wanna hurl? Yeah I haven't but I heard that it is frustrating and nauseating. Anyways we had received a turkey fryer for Christmas and we fried 2 ten pound birds. Oh my goodness, that is a lot of food. Then the desserts and stuffing, and my favorite word in the english dictionary, LEFTOVERS! We still have probably 5 pounds of turkey left.
I have been pretty busy with work. One day I worked for almost 19 hours. Yeah it was miserable. But this past week has been pretty fun. My fiancee (aka Valerie) came up for 4 days and one of my best friends (aka Bob Jones student) and his girlfriend (aka girl Bobbi) hung out with us all week. We had fun. What else can I say. Except that we did not get arrested.
But it is now almost time to get into the swing of things. Papers, work, school, and stuff. And the people rejoiced!
But one thing that has been on my mind is the fact that when I have a chance to be selfish I have taken that chance. Whether that means sleeping in or staying up late rather than diving into the Word even for just a moment, it always seems to tempt me when I have time on my hands to be selfish. When I am in the routine and schedule of life, I find it easier to fellowship with Christ when I have no time to do so. That is just one of those things that drive me nuts about vacations. If I have "free" time I use it for "me" time.
Well I am off for now and I promise that I will write soon.

Bobby, I am glad to know that I am reffered to as "Bob Jones Student". My, how that filled my heart with warmth and specialness.

Just kidding. Yeah, it was an awesome week, I didn't want it to end. Maybe we can do it again sometime soon.

For the record, we've been waiting for this post since November, not December. Date headings don't lie. Oh, and if you ever need a place to get rid of some food, I hear there's a guy in Leland 306 that might be able to help you.
